The University of Canberra and Cingulan Space are collaborating on a project to transition satellite ground station control to a cloud-based platform. PhD student Alexander Okon will work with Cingulan for three months to develop a prototype cloud-based Software Defined Radio system.
This initiative aims to address real-life challenges and provide valuable industrial experience for Alexander while helping to bridge the gap between research and industry. We’re excited about partnering with the University of Canberra and hope that this collaboration will lead to a great long-term relationship.
The collaboration was facilitated through the Australian Postgraduate Research Intern (APR.Intern) program, which aims to connect PhD candidates with industry organisations. It’s a great program that provides a valuable opportunity to engage with research institutions and involve PhD candidates in our work.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to work with the University of Canberra and Alexander and hope this is the first of many similar opportunities in future.
